Happy 4th of July and sincere thanks to those who have served!

On our last night at the wonderful Osprey Marina in Myrtle Beach, we treated ourselves to wonderful music and comedy at The Alabama Theater at Barefoot Landing, in North Myrtle Beach.

We departed Osprey Marina on Sunday morning July 6th, amid cloudy skies.  But, the rains held off for us and we cruised about 60 miles north to Southport, NC to the St. James Marina (also a wonderful marina)!  Here are scenes along the ICW - above, a 'swing bridge' passage...and making room for the barges...

 A 24/7 friendly wave...

Passing paddle-boarders as 'golf gondolas' transport golfers to/from course and parking lot...

Golf course scenes abound...

A backyard tiki bar...

ICW sightseeing boat...

Captain Ron was great at navigating narrow channels with protruding rocks!

Do you have a lighthouse in your backyard?

Beautiful southern homes...

How to store a boat...

Private dock with 'decorated' lighthouse posts...

Canal channel to private home docks...

Lots of swimmers!

Peeking out an inlet to the Atlantic Ocean from the ICW...

A deck with a view!

Shrimp boat...

No-boat

More shrimpin' vehicles

Sunset overlooking one of the five (count 'em five) golf courses at St. James Plantation...(a Tom Cate course, a Nicklaus Design course, a Hale Irwin course, a PB Dye course, and a nine-hole course)!

Evening at St. James Marina...good night, sleep tight, and pleasant dreams to you...
