2014-06-14 NYC to Half Moon Bay Marina (Croton on Hudson)

After seeing "Jersey Boys" (Oh, What a Night!) on Broadway, touring the World Trade Center 9/11 Memorial (extremely moving), and eating at some terrific restaurants...we were on our way northbound up the Hudson River.  Goodbye to the Lady!

Near the Statue...

Akasha and Texas Ranger departing the marina.

More buildings to the north of NYC.

An amazing sight!  What a great city!

Empire State Building

The banks of the Hudson were gorgeous!

At rest for the evening...Akasha, Spirit Journey and Texas Ranger at Half Moon Bay Marina, Croton-on-Hudson.  We docked here for a few days while Richard and Ron went to a conference on John Deere boat engines.  Akasha took off just before we left for conference - they are westward bound on the Erie Canal to visit Georgian Bay, the Great Lakes, and the Mississippi.  Richard, Kay, Ron and I are in a rental car off to the conference in Connecticut for a few days.

(R-L):  Clarke, Rosemary, Richard, Kay and me.  Captain Ron is the photographer...(yes, did I tell you...after a LOT of hard study, exams, and a variety of other tests...Ron has his boat Captain's license!  What a terrific accomplishment!  Congratulations, Captain!)
