October 22, 2013 Annapolis Exploration

On a mooring ball in Annapolis Harbor; Michele is 4 for 4 on picking up mooring balls on a first pass!  :-)

Scenes of Annapolis...beautiful church spires and domes abound!

We took a quick dinghy ride up Spa Creek; beautiful homes, and lots of sailboats from all over the country must make this seaport their boat-base.

More and more autumn colors...

Spirit Journey...

Historic District streets.  We took a trolley tour of the city today.

Inside St. Anne's Episcopal Church...beautiful!

Would love to hear these pipes!

St. Anne's.

Overlooking the WWII Memorial, the Severn River and in the distance, some of the buildings of the U.S. Naval Academy.

U.S. Naval Academy's waterfront buildings.

Maryland's State Capitol Dome.

We had a late breakfast at an Annapolis institution, Chick and Ruth's Delly.  It was great food, and friendly staff.  Each morning, at 8:30 a.m., patrons and staff recite the Pledge of Allegiance here.

Sailboats on the Severn...

and in the Harbor.

Our dinghy...the many ducks were just waiting for anyone to feed them.

Annapolis sunset and sailboats.
