September 15, 2013 National Cathedral and American History Museum

Ron took two feet, the Metro, and the bus, to get to the National Cathedral for a 9 am Sunday service.

impressive just on the outside....

Stunning architecture!

the grounds are fantastic....

Views from inside the Cathedral

sun through the stain glass was brilliant this morning...

more than worth the O-Dark Thirty get up and get going.... what a great morning.....

After church services I just had to make one more trip to the American History Museum....
Early fire pumper from New York Fire Dept.
I think this is similar to the wagon Grampa Hall came out to Ft Walla Walla in from Illinois...

Old Steam engine... can't see it well but the engine is mostly made of wood....

they just kept getting bigger and better....

took these shots with Mr Baugh in mind...

I think that could be Mr Baugh sorting mail on his run in eastern Oregon....
